sorry faithful bloggers

hey readers (mom, coury, myself).

sorry i've been gone so long. i've been moving and getting settled in. my house is pimp. patrick and i are going to do work on it to make it even more pimp. we're right on the lake, as you can see below.

we do have a critter problem though. let me demonstrate:

1. while cleaning out the laundry room downstairs we found a 3 foot long snake. we weren't sure if it was poisonous or what, so we kind of acted like sissy girls and tried to 'dispose' of it with a yard rake. steve irwin would have been disappointed. finally, patrick cornered it. the neighbor, who is a little old lady, came home. we asked her about the snake. she wanted to take a look so she removed the panels it was behind to try to find it. patrick, who had been agitating the snake with a fishing rod, told her he might be a bit upset. i was sure we would be taking poor miss annie to the hospital.

miss annie found the snake and determined it not to be poisonous. seeing the yard rake and fishing rod, she felt pity for the poor creature and quickly scooted the snake to safety outside the laundry room. miss annie saved the sissy boys from kentucky.

2. while trying to dispose of the snake, we found a yellow jacket or hornet's nest under the steps that we had been using regularly. miss annie came over the next day and sprayed it for us. thanks miss annie. we have another nest that's 4 times bigger than the last one so if you want you can come over and spray that one too.

3. patrick has found a ton of spiders. i have found a few. patrick is not a big fan of the spiders.

4. that is all. pictures to come as soon as things slow down.
