camera? what's that?

sorry blog fans.

it seems the people at my place of employment had the vision to transform me into a reporter who occasionally takes pictures for my own stories.

therefore anything i have shot lately is pretty lame and from a meeting or something equally lame.

i have a new respect for reporters but miss shooting somewhat interesting assignments on a daily basis.

this has been a frustrating transformation for me and some people around me. it is good in some respects, because i'm learning a new skill. that is always a plus.

i do, however, miss the days of shooting a lot. i'd rather shoot 5 or 6 assignments a day than go to meeting after meeting. it's good to know what's going on in the area but i'm a photographer at heart, not a reporter.

thanks for humoring me while i vent.

Keep up the good fight, man. I'm going through the exact same situation. The only solice I find is behind my F3 loaded with a roll of tri-x. I've shot more film in the last four months than I shot in a three years before that. It's actually starting to become a budgeting issue since film actually costs money. I've rediscovered my love for film and I've documented more of my life than ever before. It's a little weird actually. I've got at least a hundred frames of Jen's dog alone...a weird visual diary of my life right now. Keep your head up. We should take a joint vacation soon and go on a shooting spree (pun intended).
Laters,
