please do not subject your animals (especially cats) to family portraits, people. cats do not listen to directions such as "tilt your chin down" or "smile pretty." cats are inherently independent and will purposefully ruin an otherwise nice family picture if you try to give them direction, as moe the happy cat so illustrates here.
of course, moe's "weight problem" and "excessive balding" may make him a bit insecure in front of the camera. i know i don't enjoy looking at pictures of myself and i am neither "eating my family's budget" nor "picking out my own hair" per se.
heed my advice: no cats in family portraits.
