apparently some little kids laughed at her outside of a small town drug store because she didn't have any hair. shayla has a rare form of cancer and is undergoing chemo. her big sister, aubrey, was with her and told her parents and grandmother.
grandma wrote a letter to the editor at our paper about it, asking parents to teach their children about cancer. the letter sparked this hair salon owner's generosity and she donated a wig to shayla.
as you will see, little shayla is pretty stoked.
